Massage TherapyRabbi David Aaron
In my thirty-five years of practicing as a Professional Psychotherapist/Pastoral Counselor, I have never found a better book to lead one to the center of one’s being. The Secret Life of God by renowned Rabbi David Aaron puts to rest all the hyperbole and hype approaches to Kabbalah, from the Hollywood in-crowd to the Los Angeles cultic (albeit simplified) so-called Kabbalah practice of the Bergs, who try to sell this mystery as one would try to sell a commodity.
The Secret Life of God by David Aaron addresses the absolutely original drawing near to the center of the life of God. I don't care what religion you may be; even an atheist can relate to this book. I have had many patients come back to me and claim to have found healing using the book as a starting point on their journey, under my direction. They say that for the first time in their lives they now understood why they felt so alone. For me as a therapist this melds the spirituality and psychotherapy paradigms together for the very first time to create a unique approach to mental health.
With The Secret Life of God to guide you to yourself, you will never feel alone again! I cannot express enough gratitude to Rabbi David Aaron, who has had the courage to share and guide the ordinary person to this Divine Truth, not for his own popularity or personal fame or gain but to be a "Light Unto the Nations."
I can recommend this book without reservation to all who are looking to make sense out of the life they do not have NOW! So I invite you to read this book to come from the "No-where" to the Now/Here. It all depends on how you were taught to see yourself alongside God. Rabbi David Aaron has written an instruction manual for the soul. Come and taste the goodness of the Lord, via one of His best, selfless teachers.
This will be one of the most important books you will ever read in your life! I have read it more than 30 times over the years. This book so impressed me that I named my third son Jonathan Becker Hoffman in his honor. This book was written in 1973 and received the Pulitzer Prize in 1974. That was the same year that Ernest Becker died at age fifty. His other books include. "The Birth and Death of Meaning," "Escape From Evil," and others.
This was Flannery's Hobby!
Because Dr. Hoffman has "walked the walk," he is absolutely qualified to do the feeling work needed for the Inner Child journey that I utilize in my workshops and seminars. Dr. Hoffman is an expert in dealing with sexual abuse as well as treating sexual addictions. He has served many times as my Chief Therapist while I have conducted workshops on the East coast. I endorse his style and can recommend him without hesitation.
John Bradshaw. & Timothy C. Hoffman, Ph.D.
Our Clinical Specialist, Aaron A. Hoffman, M.A., N.C.C., L.M.H.C., completed his undergraduate education at The College of Wooster, Wooster, OH with a major in Comparative Religion. During his undergraduate work Aaron lived among the indigenous people of Western Samoa studying their culture and myths upon which he based his graduating Thesis. Aaron completed a year of fieldwork treating troubled adolescents at "Lost and Found, Inc." a residential treatment center for sexual perpetrators, victims, and other court-mandated teens in Denver, CO. Aaron was unexpectedly called upon to attend to the needs of the survivors of one of the most tragic American tragedies that have occurred in the American school system. Aaron was called upon to serve as crisis/grief counselor in the Columbine, CO. massacre. This enabled him to become one of the few firsthand therapists to be present during this most critical time of recovery. After this, he did his post-graduate work at Lesley University, Cambridge MA. with a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. Aaron also served as an individual Clinical Counselor with adolescents at the Dearborn Academy in Arlington, MA. He also served as the Substance Abuse Clinician, which oversaw the Substance abuse curriculum at Brighton Treatment Center, Boston, MA. Aaron is presently serving as our Chief Intern to enable him to learn the unique holistic and spiritual approach to counseling that we developed at Ambrosian Associates. As Aaron is fluent in Spanish he is able to be bilingual in the Therapy Process.
